Making Music Academy is a fast-growing, award-nominated mobile music school founded by Natasha Mitchell. What began as a private teaching practice now supports 100+ students across Perth, with strong word-of-mouth referrals and families often enrolling multiple children.

We bring high-quality music lessons directly into students’ homes, primarily in Mosman Park, creating meaningful relationships and a premium learning experience for families.

We currently have a waitlist of students ready to commence, so this role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to build hours quickly.

About the Role (Casual Position)

• Casual employment during school terms

• Immediate start available

• 2–3 afternoons per week (Mon–Thurs, approx. 3:00pm–7:00pm)

• 20–60 minute lessons (ages 4 to adult)

• Mostly teaching in Mosman Park, with some opportunities across Perth, depending how far teachers would like to travel

• Support students preparing for mid-year and end-of-year concerts

• ​

Paid travel time between students (maximum 10 minutes).
You are paid from your first lesson to your last - meaning travel between students is paid time.

We handle all scheduling, invoicing, and parent communication so you can focus solely on teaching.

What We’re Looking For

• Passionate, professional, and reliable teacher

• Music qualifications (completed or in progress) desirable

• Teaching qualifications desirable

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Availability at least 2 afternoons per week

• Long-term commitment

• Valid Working With Children Check

• Must have own reliable vehicle and driver’s licence

 

What You’ll Do

• Deliver engaging, structured lessons

• Set clear weekly and long-term goals

• Track student progress and update lesson notes

• Communicate progress updates with parents

• Be an engaged member of our Academy community

 

You’ll have access to our comprehensive teaching resources, curriculum guides, and termly team meetings for collaboration and professional growth. Natasha also supports teachers throughout the term.

Remuneration
