At Making Music Academy, our team is made up of passionate and talented educators — from qualified teachers and WAAPA graduates to accomplished professional musicians and those currently completing their teaching degrees. Most importantly, every teacher shares a lifelong love of music and a genuine commitment to inspiring their students.

Natasha - Owner & Admin
Natasha wears many hats at Making Music Academy — from inspiring students during lessons to overseeing the behind-the-scenes admin that keeps everything running like clockwork. She’s passionate about supporting parents and students at every stage, from the very first enquiry through to enrolment and beyond. Natasha makes it a priority to know every student personally, often popping in to say hello, chat with families, and check in on how lessons are going. As a mum to a young son, she understands the juggle of family life and goes above and beyond to make your experience smooth, personal, and stress-free.

Wendy - Admin Assistant
In 2025, Wendy joined the team to help meet the growing demand at Making Music Academy — and it’s hard to imagine the team without her. Wendy is a natural multi-tasker and a pro at streamlining processes, making everything run more smoothly behind the scenes. With 20 years’ experience as a Business High School Teacher and the owner of Virtual Office Hub, she brings exceptional organisation and clear communication. Wendy is the friendliest and most helpful admin support you could hope for, assisting parents and teachers with everything from enquiries to scheduling. As a fellow mum, she understands the need for flexibility and works to make the experience seamless for everyone.

Natasha - Piano & Vocals
Natasha is a versatile and passionate music educator who teaches students of all ages and abilities. She holds a Master of Teaching and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, and in 2020 was awarded the prestigious Haselhurst Scholarship for Vocals from WAAPA. Alongside her teaching, Natasha is a creative artist who has released her own music, bringing firsthand industry experience into every lesson. Natasha currently works as the early learning music tutor and primary piano tutor at Scotch College and has provided relief music teaching for various schools and businesses, including Seaview Kindy with Zene Music. She has also worked as a Crescendo Teacher with WASO.
In addition to her private tuition, Natasha teaches public group piano lessons in Cottesloe, offering a supportive and engaging environment for learners. Known for her kind, caring, and patient nature, she tailors each lesson to the individual, blending solid technique with creativity and fun to inspire a lifelong love of music. A busy mum to a one-year-old son, Natasha balances her thriving teaching career with family life, always committed to supporting her students’ musical journeys. Natasha can also teach: beginner, guitar, ukulele, songwriting and music theory.

Gem - Piano & Vocals
Gem joined Making Music Academy in 2024 as our first teacher after Natasha and quickly became an invaluable part of the team. A recent WAAPA graduate with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) specialising in Music Artistry, Gem brings both professional training and real-world performance experience to her teaching. She’s intuitive, patient, calm, and incredibly kind—qualities that help her connect deeply with her students. Gem is passionate about supporting students with disabilities and ensuring accessibility needs are met. Having taught at various music schools since 2019, Gem is confident, organised, and has a warm, communicative style that puts both students and parents at ease. As a creative musician who regularly performs across Perth and has released her own music, Gem inspires her students to explore new techniques and follow their musical passions with confidence. Gem can also teach: beginner guitar, bass guitar, music theory, and songwriting.

Glenn - Piano
Glenn joined the Making Music Academy team when he generously stepped in to cover Natasha’s students during her maternity leave. He impressed everyone with his dedication and skill, so much so that we were thrilled to keep him on permanently. Today, Glenn teaches piano to students of all ages and skill levels, earning the trust and admiration of many families—including one with five members all learning from him! Known for being polite, approachable, composed, and attentive, Glenn creates a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. His calm confidence helps even the most nervous beginners find their footing, while his attentive nature ensures every student’s needs are met with care.
Beyond teaching, Glenn is a talented musician actively involved in theatre and music projects across Perth, bringing real-world experience and creativity into his lessons. Glenn can also teach: vocals and ukulele

Monica - Percussion/Kit & Piano
Monica joined the Making Music Academy team in 2025, bringing a fresh energy and expanding our offerings with percussion and drum kit lessons, alongside piano tuition. A WAAPA graduate with a Bachelor of Contemporary Percussion, Monica has performed with prestigious groups including the WA Charity Orchestra, the WA Wind Symphony, and WAAPA’s acclaimed Defying Gravity ensemble. She has also collaborated with schools and Kaboom Percussion, sharing her expertise widely. Monica is known for her thoughtful, encouraging, and attentive teaching style. She truly listens to her students and adapts her lessons to suit their individual needs, creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Her willingness to help and genuine care make her a treasured part of our team.

Nick - Guitar
In 2025, responding to high demand, Nick joined the team to offer guitar tuition—and quickly became a favourite among students. His schedule filled up fast, with many young learners recommending him to their friends. A talented guitarist and composer with over two decades of experience, Nick brings both skill and passion to every lesson. Nick excels at connecting with students by discovering their unique interests and adapting his teaching style to suit their individual needs—a true hallmark of an exceptional teacher. He provides clear, focused feedback that helps students grow confidently and enjoy their musical journey. Nick can also teach: beginner piano.

Hannah - Piano & Vocals
Hannah is a talented multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator. A WAAPA graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Composition & Technology, she specialises in voice and teaches beginner to intermediate piano. Hannah is an experienced songwriter and arranger with over 10 years of creative work, including composing and conducting scores for films and animations such as Bird Meets World and Bi Bi Baby. She is also a skilled sound engineer and producer, proficient in Logic Pro and Pro Tools. Known for her enthusiastic and engaging teaching style, Hannah has taught privately and at other music schools. Her work has earned her multiple songwriting competition finalist placements and invitations to international festivals including the 2024 Sounds of Now Vienna Composition Festival. Hannah can also teach: drum kit, guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar.

Vincent - Guitar
Vincent joined Making Music Academy in 2024 as the second teacher we hired and the very first guitar teacher to join our team. As a dedicated and passionate tutor, he teaches acoustic and electric guitar to students of all ages. He tailors lessons to each student’s skill level and musical interests, covering styles from pop and rock to blues, funk, and jazz. Vincent emphasises strong technique and ensures a solid foundation in music theory to support his students’ progress. Known for his professionalism and kindness, Vincent creates a supportive learning environment that challenges his students to be the best they can be.
Vincent is an exceptional guitarist and proud graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where he received the prestigious Jazz Honours Award for his outstanding graduation recital. Seesaw magazine has praised his playing for its maturity, technical skill, and mastery of contemporary improvisational jazz. He has performed internationally and nationally in Hong Kong, Brisbane, and Perth alongside renowned artists such as Frank Gambale and Barney Mcall.

Chaiya - Piano
Chaiya is one of our fabulous piano teachers, assisting with our growing number of piano students. Currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at Edith Cowan University, Chaiya also holds a Diploma of Music from WAAPA with a specialisation in performance. Chaiya has experience in customer service, which shines through in her excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Chaiya is thoughtful and attentive, always checking in with students and their families to ensure her lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. Passionate about music and education, she creates a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting every student to reach their full potential.

Jasmine - Piano
Jasmine is a young but highly skilled pianist with 14 years of experience. Trained at Yoon Sen Lee Music School and a multiple prizewinner at the Fremantle Eisteddfod, Jasmine is known for her passion and dedication to nurturing a love of music in her students. She also has perfect pitch, which enhances her teaching and musicianship.Jasmine is passionate about helping our students develop creativity, confidence, and emotional resilience through their musical journey. She brings enthusiasm, patience, and a supportive approach to helping students achieve their musical goals.

Angus - Guitar
Angus is the latest addition to the Making Music Academy team. He has extensive experience teaching private students across Perth and has joined us to expand our guitar tuition offerings and share his passion for music with more learners. Known for his friendly and adaptable teaching style, Angus tailors lessons to suit each student’s individual interests and skill level. He provides clear feedback and guidance, is patient, reliable, and always eager to take on new challenges.
