We are excited to welcome you to our Public Group Lessons! Please take a moment to review the terms and conditions outlined below. Payment of your invoice confirms that you have read and agreed to these terms.

Lesson Dates

Our group lessons generally follow the West Australian Department of Education term dates.
Term dates will be communicated to families via email and are available on the home page of our website. Public holidays are honoured. 

 

Lesson Fees and Invoicing

• Students will first receive an invoice for a $20 trial lesson.

• After the trial, an invoice for the remainder of the term’s lessons will be issued if you choose to proceed. 

• Full payment must be received prior to attending any future group lessons.
   

Lesson Cancellations and Credits

• Makeup lessons are not available for missed group lessons, as lessons continue with the students present.

• However, up to two missed lessons per term can be credited toward the following term. 

• Missed lessons beyond the two credited sessions will be forfeited.

• If a student withdraws during or at the end of a term, any remaining lesson fees are forfeited.

• If a teacher is unwell, a qualified relief teacher from Making Music Academy will conduct the lesson. If a relief teacher is unavailable, the cancelled lesson will be credited toward the following term. If a student withdraws prior to the following term a refund can be issued. 

• Due to the limited spaces available in group classes, if a student withdraws after securing a place and making payment, any outstanding lesson fees will be forfeited. Once a spot is taken, it cannot always be filled by another enrolment during the same term.

• Students who need to end a lesson early (e.g., feeling unwell) acknowledge that the remainder of that lesson time is forfeited

Punctuality and Student Safety

• Students are expected to be prepared and ready at the start of their scheduled lesson time.

• Students who arrive late are welcome to join the class in progress, but lessons will conclude at the scheduled end time.

• If you are running late to collect your child, please send a text message to 0432 673 302 to let us know.

• Students waiting for collection will remain under the duty of care of the teacher and will be invited to wait outside the classroom but within the gates of 330 Marmion St Cottesloe. 

• Teachers are not responsible for supervising students beyond the school gates or into the car park.

Making Music Academy is not liable for any costs, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or liabilities incurred while students or families are on site, at the teaching premises.
